Top Quality Fake Dark Green Dial JEANRICHARD Terrascope Replica Watch

JEANRICHARD Terrascope Dark Green Dial

The JEANRICHARD Terrascope replica watch name originates from Daniel Jeanrichard, a 17th century resident of Les Bressels, near Le Locle, Switzerland. Jeanrichard was said to have been a blacksmith and having been handed a broken English pocket watch replica by a travelling merchant, reputedly repaired it. Whilst undertaking the watch replica repair, he produced a similar timepiece and subsequently went on to create further watches and watchmaking tools. The model names make reference the air, sea and land, and are aptly called “Aeroscope”, “Aquascope” and “Terrasope”. The only exception to this naming strategy is the high-end “1681” model which pays hommage to Daniel Jeanrichard and the date he created his first pocket watch.

In recent times, under the auspices of parent company, Sowind SA, the company has repositioned the brand and redesigned the model range. Although still making reference to its historical ties, the majority of the timepieces produced by JEANRICHARD evoke an image of modernity and an awareness for the planet.

JEANRICHARD has cleverly realised that consumer choice is key to success. It has created a modular approach to case construction which allows numerous possibilities for self-expression.

Invariably the word “green” is used to describe a naivety and a lack of worldly experience. We associate this trait with the innocence of youth. However, whilst the JEANRICHARD Terrascope is green in appearance, and exudes an air of youthful vigour with its contemporary rubber strap, it also exhibits much wisdom.

I recently had the good fortune to get “hands-on” with an array of JEANRICHARD models and will be reviewing these over coming months. The first model from the brand to justify my attention is the handsome Swiss replica JEANRICHARD Terrascope Dark Green Dial watch.

The dial

The particular shade of green used on the dial could be described as British Racing Green and is an intriguing departure from the usual black and white dial options I invariably see. It is an appealing tincture and as part of the “Terrascope” line, it does repeat the coniferous hues found on a Swiss hillside.

The applied rhodium-coated indices sparkle in ambient light and feature luminous material to their centres. They help to impart the hours and minutes with peerless clarity.

Bold rhodium-coated hour and minute hands conspicuously convey time. They are large and feature luminescent material. No forgetful husband could ever truthfully say, “I didn’t notice the time”. They are highly legible.

A central seconds hand, again rhodium coated, is far more discreet in demeanour, courtesy of its slender profile. However, a red triangular tip with luminous infill, ensures legibility is conferred.

A date aperture features at 3 o’clock. The black text presented on a white background did not prove as legible as other functions and, while it is only a minor issue, I do feel it would benefit from being larger or possibly magnified in some way.

Completing the dial specification is a chapter ring featuring a combination of Arabic numerals and simple white strokes.

The case

Measuring 44 mm in diameter, this is a masculine timepiece with a contemporary persona.

The lateral inserts are vertically satin-brushed on the vertical plane, highly polished on their bevelled upper and lower surfaces and, once again, satin-brushed on the horizontal flanks.

A key element of the case is the modular construction. The interchangeable parts allow the brand to offer choice, whilst common parts allow JEANRICHARD to achieve the economies of scale necessary to bring a quality timepiece within the financial grasp of its target audience.

Lateral inserts attach to the middle-case replacing the usual caseband and lug ensemble. The brand can exchange these for different materials and finishes should it wish to target a specific niche within the market place.

The company has adopted a similar strategy for the bezel which is highly polished on the vertical edges but vertically satin-brushed on the top.

The successful manipulation of surface treatment optimises the interface with light and accords a handsome appearance.

Personally, I would have preferred an exhibition caseback in order to view the movement, but the highly polished screw-down caseback is attractively engraved with the brand’s nomen.

Where JEANRICHARD has been particularly accomplished is in exploiting the tactile feel of the case and crown. Edges are smooth to the touch and there is a ubiquitous sense of refinement to each fondled facet. The crown is delightfully executed and operates with a reassuring sense of quality.

The strap

Whilst some will prefer the bracelet variant, I did like the green rubber strap. It is judiciously marked with a subtle JR logo and features fine vertical lines which grant an attractive aesthetic.

In particular, the satin brushed folding clasp is extremely well executed. It feels secure and affords a comfortable fit.

The movement

JEANRICHARD has chosen to restrict its manufacture movements for its prestigious 1681 model line. Therefore, this model contains a quality Swiss movement, the JR60 calibre, with the stereotypically reliable characteristics that this confers.

The self-winding movement has a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz), contains 26 jewels and has a power reserve of 38 hours.

Conclusion

Some will think of the environment when discussions turn to “green issues” and certainly JEANRICHARD has sought to embrace the symbolism of nature with several of its models.
