Dubai Watch Week 2015: Follow Our Coverage October 18-22nd Shows & Events

This touch alone is sign enough that Bovet Replica Watches For Sale Replica set out to create something which goes far beyond what most would expect from a wristwatch. With such a royal set of functions, design aesthetic, and extreme attention to detail, we can agree that at this point it really belongs to the positions of high-end mechanical art.The Bovet Récital 20 Astérium watch is 46mm in diameter and constructed around the idea of the sidereal year, which follows the actual orbital period of the planet around the Sun – 365.25 days. It is a calendar function that’s actually visible from the case-back, where we locate one central hand which plays a complete rotation every 365.25 days. But as is normal with Bovet’s layouts, there’s always more.Moving into the dial-side of items, the Bovet Récital 20 Astérium manages to pack in 2 hemispheric indicators and a hemispheric precision moon phase index with an integrated equation of time complication. In the lower right-hand part of the night skies, we locate a 10-day power reserve indicator that shares a place using the retrograde minutes hand. Now, the hour hand manages to take care of 3 purposes. As it moves across the committed 24-hour dial, in addition, it points north and carries the elliptical window feature of the nighttime skies as well as signaling the moment.

Dubai has a reputation as being a city of massive wealth with rapid economic growth after the oil boom. The fact that there hasn’t been a major watch event of this scope in the city is actually somewhat surprising given the region’s reputation for big spending and a love of all things flashy. Spending on luxury goods is increasing in the Middle East, and it will be interesting to see if the region, and Dubai in particular, will establish itself as a major city for the watch industry.

Dubai Watch Week seems serious about bucking the reputation of the city as simply a consumers’ paradise by presenting two major exhibits: the traveling Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) exhibition and their “Rebels of Horology” exhibit which will celebrate independent watchmakers and will feature timepieces from Bovet, Cabestan, De Bethune, Greubel Forsey, Hautlence, Laurent Ferrier, MB&F, H. Moser & Cie, Moritz Grossman, and Urwerk.
