2017 marks the 70th anniversary of a certain automaker that tends to generate passion among car enthusiasts like no other. Synonymous with the color red, this automaker also happens to have the most successful team in Formula One. Have you guessed it yet? The automaker is none other than Ferrari. I’m a pretty big fan of Hublot, however I think even people who say a few of their offerings are “too much” will have the ability to enjoy the design here. Of course, that appreciation will be done similarly to many appreciation of Ferrari’s cars: from a space. Coming in 70 pieces of each model, the ceramic version will be priced at $127,000, the carbon model at $137,000, and the King Gold version will cost $158,000. In Baselworld 2017, Hublot declared the Hublot MP-09 Tourbillon Bi-Axis, the latest chapter in their collection of Manufacture Piece (MP) watches. Hublot made a persuasive 3-sided sapphire crystal instance that tapers at 6 o’clock especially to exhibit the dual turning of the bi-axial tourbillon. Not just the case was created to put the bi-axial tourbillon front and centre, the new movement was made with maximum visibility of this mechanism in your mind. So, yeah this Hublot is all about being seen and the result is a wristwatch that’s really unlike any other.
So what’s unique about this watch? Obviously, this version doesn’t differ that greatly from the earlier Techframe Ferrari 70 Years Tourbillon Chronograph watches that were announced earlier this year, but being a unique piece does make it more “special.” Plus, it will give its lucky owner some bragging rights, especially during Ferrari meet-ups. The watch was recently auctioned by RM Sotheby’s and it went under the hammer for €180,000, which is considerably more than the most expensive King Gold version of the Hublot Techframe Ferrari 70 Years Tourbillon Chronograph watch. hublot.com
